Two Heads are better than one!

Hi Everyone,
One of our favorite things to do at school now is to come to computer lab to...well, to visit with you! That's what it feels like. We are getting to know you better and hope you are getting to know us too! We will be posting pictures of our school and ourselves so you can see us and where we live.

Want to play a word swap game? We have noticed that while we speak the same language, we use different words to describe the same thing - like you have good mates while we have good buddies. This made us think it might be fun to swap idioms. Here are ten from us, see if you can guess what they mean:

The cat got your tongue Face the music
Be a wet blanket Lose your shirt
Spill the beans Feeling blue
Horse around Let sleeping dogs lie
Knock your socks off Smell a rat

Well, break a leg!

Welcome to our New Friends from Rotorua

This is a picture of Beavertail, one of our state parks located on Jamestown. People hike, saltwater fish, boat, picnic - even get married (one of our teachers did, last summer). It's a nice place to picnic, rollerblade, play frisbee, all kinds of fun things.

This is a picture of our school:

Our school is located next to an ancient Narragansett burial area. We walk, skateboard, bike to school as well a being driven by bus or car. We are so excited to hear from you!! We have tech ed on Thursdays, so that is the time we definitely will get a chance to send you some photos, videos or slide shows. I don't know if we can skype - I think NZ is 18 hours ahead of us but maybe we can figure something out! Peace out, your friends in the 4th grade in Rhode Island, USA.
